Open Synchronized Skating Team

In response to requests from skaters we formed a new Open team at the end of 2006.

In their first season Ice Precise placed 2nd in both the Queensland Championships and Synchronized Skating Club competition in 2007. The Open Division does not currently compete at the Australian Championships however a number of Australian teams are seeking to have the ISA rules changed to include this division in the near future.

How to Join Ice Precise -

Our club’s goal - is to offer the benefits of Synchronized Skating and Theatre on Ice to as many skaters as possible. These benefits include - fun, friendships, team spirit, challenge, fitness, new skills, performance opportunities, local, national and international competition opportunities.

Goals for Ice Precise this season include –

  • To develop team members’ Synchronized Skating skills.
  • To assist team members to develop their Individual skating skills.
  • To prepare the team for Competitions, Exhibitions and Displays including -
  • Compete in the Synchronized Ice Skating Clubs Competition in June 08.
  • Compete in the Queensland Championships in late June 08.
  • Perform in our Club’s Annual Exhibition Skate in late July 08
  • Compete in the Australian Championships right here in Brisbane in August 08 or in the New Zealand Championships in September 08 if enough team members are interested.

Requirements to join -

Age: Must reach the age of 14 years or over by the 1/7/2008

Test Level: Aussie Skate Level 1 or higher, or by selection.

Additional training - It is recommended that team members train on the Skills required for your programs in Private or Group lessons and to gain your Preliminary test if you have not already done so.
